What We Do

Mandated Services

REAL Assistance provides UCF students with substance use screenings and evaluations, evidenced-based brief intervention services, and when appropriate, referral for treatment. Typically, students are referred to our office by UCF’s Office of Student Conduct or a Pre-Trial Diversion (PTD) program.

REAL Assistance is designed to meet the needs of students based on the level of risk associated with each student’s use of alcohol and/or other drugs and the presence or absence of clinically significant emotional and behavioral problems. The purpose of REAL Assistance is to provide services that will best meet the individual needs of our students in order to help those students avoid further problems related to alcohol and/or drug use. We want all students to be healthy and successful in their academic and social lives.

To access these services, there is a $75.00 charge per episode of care. Please be aware that you must call to cancel or reschedule appointments 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time in order to avoid a $25.00 charge.
